Memorandum of Understanding Aims to Expand Private-Sector Access to World-Class Cloud Computing Technologies and Support Digital Transformation Across Key Sectors
eFinance Investment Group (“eFinance”), Alibaba Cloud and Nuvexa have signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding to explore expanding the scope of eFinance’s cloud platform, which provides access to technologies from several global cloud service providers, to Egypt’s private sector.
The proposed collaboration could enable companies to access Alibaba Cloud’s advanced and secure cloud computing services through eFinance’s infrastructure hosted locally in Egypt for the first time.
The proposed partnership represents a further step in eFinance’s strategy to develop and operate a local cloud platform for new sectors in the Egyptian market, providing access to the technologies and services of several global cloud service providers.
This model aims to give private-sector companies greater flexibility in selecting the cloud environment that best meets their technology and workload requirements, while enabling their data and applications to be hosted and processed within Egypt.
By providing access to the services of several global cloud service providers through a unified local platform and infrastructure, the proposed offering aims to help organizations reduce their dependence on a single technology provider, improve workload portability and simplify the management of cloud environments.
It will also provide customers with a local contracting party for hosting, operations and managed services.
